A fun little Idea
A few days ago I found these little sony battery powered speakers in my apartment, so I added them to my normal arsenal tools and various other objects I cary in my bag. Together with my $20 c.d. player and a copy of Board of Canada Geogaddi (or Mahavishnu, The Clash or anything that would be good to ride to). Now I can safely listen to music on my city rides and have an amazing ****ing time!

I like your taste in music. Theres a company that makes small speakers that plug into the ends of your drops and look vaguely like those cheap-arse bar end friction shifters, I don't remember the link though, sorry. I think they ran off a battery that fit in a waterbottle cage.

Radio Shack sells several battery operated self-amplified speakers. Back when I used to busk I had a set for awhile, before I got a Crate Taxi. Depending on what you get, they can actually be quite loud. The ones that I had had I think a 4" and a 2" speaker for both right and left... Used them as computer speakers for awhile, too, I think...
