whats the difference??head tubing
whats the difference between inch and inch and an eighth....is it just strength??? cus its hard for me to find them bmx style forks for an inch size headtube, any help???? thanx all

yes. 1 1/8 is stronger/stiffer/lighter.

My wife always tells me, "It's not the diameter of your head tube that matters it's how you ride the bicycle" but I think the is A) only trying to make me feel better, and B) not talking about bicycles.

That's strange you can't find a BMX style fork with 1" steer tube because those old road bikes were always intended to be ridden like a BMX bike.

I read somewhere that the original reason for "oversized" headtubes and 1 1/8" headsets was because it made it easier to miter and fit fat aluminum down tubes.
