I have to find photos of my dog surfing.

carleton 12-29-09 11:35 PM

What if I use my track bike as a track bike on a velodrome? {gasp!}

erichsia 12-29-09 11:42 PM

I commute, ride for fun, ride to do errands, ride to meet to meet people, ride to clear my head. you should have included "all-around utility fixed" to your poll.

WoundedKnee 12-29-09 11:44 PM

Amen!

Neither. I've never owned a BMX bike and my 'fixed gear' is currently set up as a cruiser-bar'd 48x19 SS with 2 brakes and a 6-pack front rack- you can't get any less tarck than that.

Oddly enough, some people enjoy riding bicycles without the need to pigeonhole themselves into one specific sub-genre.

Oh please! That would be like me admitting that I raced my BMX bike. (I did, when I was 35)

Oh yea, well I regularly ride my Raleigh Detour Deluxe at a reasonably slow speed on multi-use paths (but only on days when the weather is nice).

Brian 12-30-09 07:23 AM

Looks like I need to add the "Hipster Individualist" category for HandsomeRyan.

I'm a roadie. It's just that one of my road bikes has a single fixed gear.
