Finally Bought an SS - salsa casseroll

So after so much time thinking (dreaming) of this bike and that bike I finally pulled the trigger on a Salsa Casseroll. I know it's not as hipster cool as a converted Ebay 70's, 80's racer but my reasoning was I wanted a good all round frame for my commute and if one day decided to chuck on - ahem - some gears, racks, fenders then this frame could do it and more. Got the bike from the USA shipped to AUS and it was such an easy transaction. I could even follow the bike via UPS and the flightstats site all the way to Sydney. A bit sad yes but being able to track the flight your new bikes on added to the excitement. Anyway telling about new bikes is rubbish without pics so here's some pics from my iPhone of the build. I've put together bikes before but this was the first time I had to cut a steerer tube. I used a pipe cutter and I'm glad I did. makes the job so neat and easy. If you'd like to know more about the bike, where I bought it just PM me. Oh - first ride impressions - It's a LOT lighter than i thought it would be. I keep reading how these Surly/Salsa steel rigs are tanks. Well this thing ain't at all. Take the massive wheels and tyres and replace with some lightweight racers and you've got a nimble machine. I'm V Impressed. Enjoy the pics. Digs.

Awesome bike. Salsa makes some really sweet frames.

Looks good, but that seat looks really high.
