46x17 08-12-04 04:53 PM

pffffffffffffff! Whatever, my parents listen to obituary and arkangel...

legalize_it 08-12-04 05:46 PM

your parents are cool if they listen to arkangel. are we talking the same arkangel, the guys from belgium, album called 'dead man walking'?

46x17 08-12-04 05:53 PM

legalize it,

I was just being silly. My parents don't even listen to the pistols.

Ever heard of Annihilator? They are quite tough too.

hair07 08-12-04 06:24 PM

hows about cannibal corpse. i dig their song 'festering in the crypt'

on a serious note, i'd say the jesus lizard is tougher than slayer. and i'd take a drunken david yow over pre-pansy rollins or that other guy as well.

I figured if they were listening to Arkangel, you probably had them tied up in your bedroom with headphones taped to their heads :D .

Oh,....yes I'm a parent.

Download- Butthole Surfers-Sweat Loaf, from the album 'Locust Abortion Tech' A very scary version of Black Sabbath's sweat leaf.

Way better than coffee to wake up with @7 am.

skitbraviking 08-12-04 09:34 PM

Jesus Lizard takes all, sorry bud.

skitbraviking 08-12-04 09:34 PM

And this comes from somebody who slips out South of Heaven and sticks it on the turntable for some down and dirty guilty pleasure.

Skitbraviking, Did Jesus Lizard do an album of songs by the band Chrome?

And If so...what was it called? Can't remember my youth sometimes.

Same singer from Napalm Death. I liked them better than Cannibal Corpse.

Ministry:

tell me something i don't know
show me something i can't use
push the button
connect the goddamned dots
live-in thief in my bedroom bathroom
commodity sodomy glass autonomy
promise everything take it all away
give it a rest
you're lying through your teeth
you're lying through your teeth
who what which why who
when did you say the earth would stop turning?
when did you say we would all start burning?
when should i make a pledge?
should i listen to the voices in my head?
connect the goddamned dots
connect the goddamned dots
connect the goddamned dots
who am i trying to impress?
who could care less?
tell me something i don't know

i'm listening to pantera right now. i just got my nice computer back up and running after a three or four week down period. it has my nice sound card, my nice video card and win2k.

nothing like an audigy2 card, an ATi card and an 850mhz processor after some POS compaq from '99, running win98. mmm....1280x1040 resolution....crisp sound, crisp video....

My favorite song ever from them is the live version of Stigmata with the F You chorus.

come on you guys, Hilary Duff is where it's at. She's tough, and has way more street cred than any of those other bands. ;<)

aif 08-13-04 05:15 AM

Children , lets play safe and politically correctly please ...

aif(and who hide my die krupps cd in the ministry shelf?)

BTW: Rollins wins the barfight (verbal or physical, dosn't matter)

nocoins 08-13-04 05:59 AM

John Tesh all the way!

.... actually, I really like Snapcase right now.

HereNT 08-13-04 06:02 AM

I think that girl from Otep screams better than the lead singer of Slayer. And he's got a master's degree in vocals.

Don't know. They did a live album with a song called "Chrome." See here:

I think that a lot of the early industrial grew out of pop music - people learning what they could do with synthisisers and sequencers. Then they discovered sequncing industrial noise. Then they learned that heavy metal guitar players could play to it, and the music changed.

I really like the fact that Pigface has an albut that lists a camera 'player' - think it's GUB... He's not really recording the session, he's playing an instrument. The clicks are the meter...

Along those lines, Tchung list a shotgun player. I really want to see one of their shows if they're still around. Earth first band that can't play indoors because they have too much fire!

And anyone using sheet metal as an instrument trumps slayer. Any day, any where, any how.

Nuf said.
