Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

bikes with automotive stickers?

I've seen a bunch of bikes, particularly track bikes, with stickers from automotive brands on. NOS, Eibach, Brembo, that kind of thing. I've always thought it was hilarious and clever.

If anyone has pictures of bikes like this, please post them here!

Someplace around here I saw pictures of one that had been debadged and relogo'd as a Cannondale and put up for sale on Ebay. Pretty sneaky.

You missed that day in Biology class?

It's simple really... When a mommy bike and a daddy bike love each other very much, they give each other a special hug. About nine months later the stork drops off the baby bicycle in the cabbage patch where the mommy and daddy go pick it up, only in this case, the cabbage patch = Wal-Mart.

No no, ****ty cross-branded Walmart bikes are not what I meant. I meant people who put the stickers that come with automotive performance parts on their bikes. Y'know, like taking your track frame and throwing a big ol' NOS sticker on the fork? Stuff like that.

I've seen them on the interwebs before, but didn't think to save. I could troll velospace or something, but I don't even know what keywords would turn anything up. Generally people don't keyword their bikes based on the stickers they put on them.

Perhaps I will post photos of my stand and toolboxes. The best use for stickers is to eBay them to kids in Australia. True story.

Why would anyone cover a bike with car-related stickers?
