The one you find by using google.

Scrodzilla 02-07-10 09:16 PM

There are probably better examples but the Langster Steel comes to mind.

alien

skid on me 02-07-10 09:28 PM

i have considered an alien frame

deathhare 02-07-10 09:32 PM

What do you consider an old style track bike?
Pic?

skid on me 02-07-10 09:35 PM

just really tight and plain. with perferably a quill stem.

skid on me 02-07-10 09:36 PM

sort of like this

Im just saying what your definition of "classic"? A little more info would be useful for us. Some people think 1980's would be a classic. Personally, I think it would be a 1960's-1970's bike to be a classic. Everything else is just in limbo.

deathhare 02-07-10 09:38 PM

Kilo TT maybe would suit you if you dont want to spend much.

Leukybear 02-07-10 09:38 PM

three letters: njs ;)

skid on me 02-07-10 09:42 PM

i would love an njs bike. but i dont have the cash for that. and i dont really want the kilo. i just wanted to know so i could have a good chance of just searching it on google, and finding a website that i could buy a nice bike from.

Deshi 02-07-10 09:48 PM

I don't think $500 for a 4130 chromoly steel frame is worth it.

Deshi 02-07-10 11:56 PM

whats your price range? might be able to help a little better.

NoCash27 02-08-10 12:37 AM

depends on how you build it up. someone recently finished building up that purple pake and it looks pretty "old school."

That's not "old style track" at all. Even the kilo has a lugged fork.
I suggest the SE Premium brew frameset. 250 bikeisland, shipping included, frame/fork/headset. Lugged frame and fork, very nice looking dropouts too.

I agree with the other guy, NJS is what you are looking for - but the prices are absurd for the hipsters looking for NJS everything, no matter what the price, even though they arent even keirin racers.

NoCash27 02-08-10 05:05 AM

yes. is that yours? so sexy.

Deshi 02-08-10 08:50 AM

Yes it is mine. Thanks for the complement. I have a set of custom laminated wood handlebars on it right now. Just need this damn snow to go away.
