This is all I've seen so far. I like them and the price is decent. The only thing that stands between me and a set is money...

Scrodzilla 02-10-10 09:58 PM

Oh man...I may need a set of these.

stryper 02-11-10 03:30 AM

that's some good sh*t right there. I bought a set of vintage road cranks like these for a friends re-build conversion, but being able to get them new, in 144bcd, and stronger is a sweet deal

badonis 02-11-10 03:38 AM

These look good, but I'd like to read a review before I grab em.

Scrodzilla 02-11-10 06:29 AM

Agreed. Hopefully they're as good as they look!

filtersweep 02-11-10 08:22 AM

Sweet (looks just like my vintage crank scraped from the boneyard).

Brian 02-11-10 08:31 AM

If I get them, will I see a $160 improvement in performance?

norskagent 02-11-10 08:33 AM

compared to 0$ and no crankset, yes.

Hehe. Made me chuckle.

I'm bumping this to see if anyone has these or has experience with them.

j.pierce 04-16-10 10:48 AM

I've had one on order via Soma for about a month now - last I heard they were getting them in stock in a couple of weeks (this was a little over a couple of weeks ago) They aren't in stock at IRD's webstore either. Hopefully soon! Has anyone actually gotten their hands on a pair? All the places that said they'd be getting them, only a handful actually have them listed, and none seem to have them in stock.

riot2003 04-16-10 11:46 AM

wow those look beautiful. srsly.

badonis 04-19-10 01:46 AM

If you're in the Bay Area, they have these in stock at San Francisco Cyclery for $160, I think. I was there this weekend and got to check them out in person. They look really, really good. I wish I could try em out.

n8murphy 04-19-10 02:15 AM

i would spend the money on some vintage campy ones rather than repros. you could get old dura ace thats about the same. idk i like to have stuff thats actually old not reproduced but thats me im a little ocd.

n8murphy 04-19-10 02:19 AM

suginos from the 70's are simmilar too. i got some new school miche cranks now and they are not much more than the those knockoffs.

Did you get them yet? I'm considering this for my mixte build...

Scrodzilla 05-13-10 11:19 AM

I just ordered a set of these at cost through the shop where I work. I should have them in two days.

carleton 05-13-10 11:56 AM

Campagnolo and Shimano abandoned that design years ago.

I never really understood the obsession with old stuff folks on this scene (and ultimately the manufacturers) have. But, there are a lot of things that I don't understand. To each his own.

They appear to be a really nice replica.

kyselad 05-13-10 12:18 PM

Meh, at least they look nice. There's a ton of basic cranks out there with inexplicably high price tags; at least this one offers something on the aesthetic end to justify the expense.

I have a set on the VO Polyvalant I am building. I cant give a ride report b/c I am still waiting for a part to finish the build. (bar-end shifter for SA 5-speed) They look great and the fit and finish is very good, as soon as the shifter comes in (I've been waiting 3 months@#$%) I will post a ride review. Hope this helps!!
