Holy ****, $200 for a complete fixed gear? That's awesome. Wish I would have known about that a few months ago. Seriously, post pics!

Sweet dude thanks for the pics. How was assembly? Was anything. Pre assembled?

If shipping within state is fast... you can't exactly blame nashbar for slowness of out of state stuff.... not like they are driving it themselves. |

They're standard shipping uses FEDEX SMARTPOST, which is basically snail mail. They send the package by fedex ground to Post Office distribution center which finishes the delivery, as if fedex ground isn't slow enough. I ordered something from nashbar this Monday, and they didn't ship until today.
Oh and if anyone rides a 49CM, they have a few available for $133.99 before an extra 10% off http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...201352__201348 |

They sent my bike just Fedex and some bike clips I ordered at the same time with FEDEX SMARTPOST. Fedex is usually the faster for me, with USPS and UPS being very slow

Make sure you tighten the fixed cog and lock ring when you get it, they're not as tight as they need to be from the factory.

i'm thinking of picking one up for polo and long lockups.

So I put the bike together and took a quick picture. I took the bike out for a bike and it rides WAY better than the conversion Raleigh that I used to have. I was worried that this bike would be junky for $200 but it looks pretty nice IMO and well worth it considering I'm just going to be using it to get to classes. I've got a Trek XO1 for workouts, etc. If you're looking for a bike just to ride and that you won't be spending a lot of money on to upgrade, I'd go for it. Just make sure to tighten the lockring if you're riding the fixed side. I was trying it out in my dorm hallway and the pedal slipped backwards a little, so I'm gonna wait till I go home this weekend and can get some biking tools to tighten it.
If you want any other pictures just let me know! http://i48.tinypic.com/2mpivtc.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/i1y13n.jpg How were you able to keep the plastic chain protector on? Mine is missing a 3rd bracket to hold it down correctly. THanks |
Yeah mine was missing the 3rd bracket too, but I was able to get the chain protector to stay. If you need a picture let me know.
