Why do you think Thomson Components are so good? How does Thompson compare to Dura-Ace/Campy/etc lines that are in the same range? Had I been able to score that Campy Chorus Aero seatpost for the same price, I would've gotten it instead. How do the seatposts compare? Pretty equally. They hold the saddle up, they fit the frame, they haven't broken and caused grievous bodily harm. |
yeah basically what everyone else said... light, strong, and relatively unbreakable, as well as appealing to the eyes.
PRO TIP: if you don't want to pay premium dollar, search "thompson" in ebay. adding that incorrect "p" will cut the price $30 to $40. pretty well known but still unbelievably effective. i have 2 elite seatposts, an x2 stem, an x4 stem, and an old elite road stem, all purchased that way for $40 and under... the cheapest being brand new for $19. |
