should i be cautious of these wheels

too good to be true?

I almost feel like they are for that cheap.

Well, they definitely aren't the "Deep Vs" they claim to be, at least not the real thing. That said, they . . .

2900 grams!?!?

Wow. For a manufacturer to claim a wheelset weight of over six pounds is, I mean, my 29er mountain bike wheels weigh less than that. While I guess it could be that they are including the cog and tires and such, I get a bad feeling they aren't.

What are you trying to do with these wheel? Are they replacing another set, or are they for a new build, or what?

They will be heavy as Hell but most likely not dangerous.

A better bet would be the 1/8 inch julian deals

for that price.. just go to velomine..

velocity B43 to formula hubs - $210

velocity deep v to formula hub
s - $180

The wheel set is for a new kilo tt build i'm planning on doing in the next month or so. and i didn't even notice that weight, that's rediculous.

I think i'll check those out, i was planning on buying a crank from them so i'll definitely look into that.

I have these, they don't really seem that heavy to me. They do come with the tires/tubes/cog so maybe that's why the weight is high. The cog/lockring sucks but everything else is pretty solid. Only issue is that I had to take off the tires and shake out metal shavings that got inside the rim when they machined it.
