MTB handlebars on a FG?
 

So I'm looking for flatbars and a shorter stem to put on my Pista.

I came across Easton stems, and The Answer bars all on clearance sales at 60-70% off.
The bars are carbon/173 grams, but I've never seen anyone riding a SS/FG with bars like these

despite looking absolutely ridiculous on a track bike, is there any reason not to get these?:twitchy:

Like you said, looks are just outrageous badness, but if you don't mind that, get them :]
They seem cheap enough that if you don't like them, you can snag some other ones.

Agreed, these are unusual on a track bike, but should work fine as long as they are all compatible.

As near as I can tell, that bike only has to make one person in the entire world happy.

I use Truvativ Holzfeller bars and stem on my kilo. They are ultralight risers, though i had to cut a massive amount off. The stem is also extra extra short. I find it quite nice for riding around berlin.

I've got some 140g MTB bars, for anyone brave enough.
