Looking for a good saddle for my current bid.

and i think brooks are highly overrated. Any suggestions?

I ride on a San Marco Rolls, but would also recommend this little number

brooks fits me perfect. But i guess there's a saddle for every tush. You just have to go try out a few saddles to see which one fits ur behind.

If tempurpedic made a saddle it would be prime.

I've been using a Selle Italia Flight, and it's been really good. I like it better than the Turbo and Concor.

i think it sort of depends on the bike....
i have a fizik arione on my road bike, and brooks b17 narrow on the fixed gear.

the fizik is really comfortable...at first it seemed hard but after riding for a few minutes i dont even think about the saddle, which i guess is a good thing.

I've got a Nashbar GR2 which is like a fizik arione copy but feels great.

Unless your son is the second coming of Andre the Giant, you'll probably find that he'll be more comfortable with an English saddle. Oh, and don't forget a bridle, only those crazy hipsters rides "brakeless"

I just got a Velo Orange Model 3 saddle and am waiting for it to break in. (I've heard of some pretty ungodly break-in time on these things; anyone here have experience with them?) It's a little cheaper than a Brooks, and it comes with the right wrench (or, if you want to sound British, a "spanner") for tightening it up. It's worth noting that they ship fast, too.

I've been looking at those saddles as well I'd be interested to hear how you like it

I always vote for the selle italia turbo. It's comfy and looks nice and slick, in a minimal sort of way.

San Marco Rolls. Feels comfy, like a tiny couch!

Love the look, comfort, and low pricetag of my Charge Spoon.

I've put between 100-200 miles on my Velo Orange saddle and it's just starting to break in now - definitely not the quickest break in time, but it seems like it'll be under my butt for a while. I'm happy with the look, and the support's good and comfortable. Not a whole ton to distinguish this from the competition, but a good way to save $15 and a good company to support.
