Just joined the fixed gear group
I was going to convert my mountain bike to a FG, but I decided I wanted to keep it as a mountain bike. So now I have my Trek 1.5 for road and long distance, my Cannondale M400 for offroad use and my shiny new Specialized Langster. So far I love this thing. It is amazingly light. It is weird riding fixed, I'm so used to a freewheel. It does have the flip-flop hub, so that is a plus. I'm going to keep in fixed though.
Just got it home about 2 hours ago. I have to finish adjusting everything then I'm going for a ride. I hope I didn't just start a new addiction! lol Sorry for the bad quality, I was using my iPhone. No bother putting up high quality pics, you all have seen this bike in stock form several times. http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/t...dLangster3.jpg http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/t...dLangster2.jpg http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/t...dLangster1.jpg |

Have fun! Its another way to ride a bike! I'm working on getting a mtb to complement my felt z85 and my fixed conversion!

Nice ride; those aluminum & carbon forked langsters are very surprisingly light even at stock

Went 30 miles today. I have to say, I have a whole new respect to people who prefer to ride FG as the main ride. I had a nasty head wind for over half my ride. My legs were burning like they never had before!
The stock saddle is ok for this type of riding, but I need something a bit more comfortable. Recommendations? |
