Not that it's entirely relevant, as carleton's point would still be valid if he had been less specific and simply stated that Bianchi was a European company. |
Well the treck is only the frame set, no wheels or anything... I would use my own 36 spoke wheels... I like the look of the black super pista but the price is a touch more than I want to throw down. its 400 for the treck frame set, its the red one. is that a good price? I also just saw the BD motobecane team track. does it really come with dura ace cranks and stuff? obviously it is not the tk2 or t1 but is it better than the Leader and or a decent bike, would I be better just getting the frame set from BD?

The first I sold to a friend. The second I sold when I stopped riding for a while. I lived in an area that wasn't a safe place to ride. It was suburban hell. 50MPH roads in every direction. The third I sold to Prolly. |
yea i dont own a car dont do drugs but i do like to drink... as a pedicabber dont make enough to buy bikes that frequently. if only i could my life would be all set. so i was looking at the new t1 frame sets and they are 400 new, so is 400 used a bit high?

Why not just buy the 2010 T1 new for $820 MSRP. You can probably get it from a shop for a $700 street price. Maybe less. Build the custom wheelset later. |
One thing about the T1 is that the sizing is a bit unusual. I suggest that you consider buying 1 size up. I ride a 57-58 in road and track bikes and when I tried the T1, the 60cm is what fit best. Not the 58.
So, certainly try before you buy. |
I think its a little high. I have pretty nice stuff on my fixed now and have never bought a prebuilt so thats where I am coming from as far as this new bike goes. So no one here has any opinion on the motobecane team track from BD? another thread was talking about it being a fuji track comp? As far as aluminum goes is that top tube too thin? trek does sell the frame set for 400 so that only 50 more. my issue is that the red one on CL is still the USA made one while the new one is overseas. yes I know the BD bike are not from here but if i was gonna get the trek I might as well go for the local one...
