Rim Card interlacing

How do you guys put cards or picture in your rims, I can't seem to find a stable spot

hairnet 03-22-10 11:50 PM

shove them where the spokes cross.

muckymucky 03-23-10 12:16 AM

yea they're actually called spokecards tho~
cuz they're on your spokes, not you rim.

also make sure its something stiff such as a laminated card or something stiff like a postcard.

itsjustMATT 03-23-10 01:15 AM

Just slide the card, sticker, or small animal down into your spokes where they cross. Make shure to pull the spokes apart, but not too hard, to keep the card, sticker, or small animal from ripping.

RoadJerk 03-23-10 01:24 AM

if you want to make sure they stay there at EXTREIM SPEADZ and you dont care about looking trailer trashy you can stick some clear packing tape over the spokes onto the card

yeah, spokecards flying out and ninja slicing people in the face isn't fun

jakerock 03-23-10 01:38 AM

Yeah, and when the alleycat that you just raced in is over, take the card off of the bike and use it as a nice bookmark.

I only do my reading online, so I keep my cards in the spokes

pffft.......traditionalists

AEO 03-23-10 11:53 AM

I never understood the desire to add cards into the wheel... they're loud and can't be read when you actually ride the bike.
I insist, instead of inserting regular old cards to look hipster, that you add something absolutely ridiculous in the spokes to prove you are on the leading edge, instead of the trailing.

something like... a mannequin limb... or a phone book. if it doesn't look stupid, you're not hip :innocent:

kyselad 03-23-10 12:26 PM

Squeeze them all really close together, then set fire to one of them. You're welcome!

sharpsandflatts 03-23-10 03:06 PM

when applying spoke cards to your wheels, don't forget to time travel back to 2005 when they were actually still cool.

I do a lot of reading online too, except I place my cards in my laptop and then wedge my laptop into my spokes. It's pretty awesome.

Snacklord 03-23-10 04:33 PM

I hate this forum too. And also the other ones. More.

robertv 03-23-10 11:16 PM

To hell with it, I'm gonna be the one who says it.
Sell your bike. If you're this stupid you shouldn't be on a fixie. It's cause of idiots like you that everyone thinks riding fixed is unsafe.

TejanoTrackie 03-23-10 11:24 PM

That's all folks.
