Finally got a proper brooks (nearly NOS ~84 professional). Figure I owe it to my identity as a cyclist to ride this mofo until I have the transcendent experience that so many bang on about. I'm about 200 miles in. Still firmly rooted in this reality.

I put one on my stumpjumper and it changed my life. The bars are higher than the saddle though. When I had one on my IRO my ding-dong would fall asleep after 15 miles. No bueno.
