Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Plan of attack (slightly long)

So I'm in the midst of two fixie builds. I wasn't anticipating it, but while slowly working on one, another opportunity came up that I couldn't pass. So initially I had bought these campy high flange track hubs for 100, I laced them to street wheels, and was going to use them on an old falcon frame from late 60s. This was the plan until I read that campy high flange hubs may bust on the road, so I put the project off for a while out of fear. Months later I come across this basso track bike for 5o bux, complete with campy headset and bb, with suntour superbe pro track hubs laced to campy rims. I want to have the fork rechromed and the frame repainted on the basso, which will cost some cash, so should I build up the falcon with the campy hubs and sell it to finance the basso, or should i put the campy hubs onto track rims, on a track bike and sell that? I don't want to be workin on two bikes on once, because I can barely keep on top of one...any opinions y'all about what i should do?
