Need a new saddle for my new bike.

Hi folks.

Just bought a Steamroller today and after taking it for a couple quick spins, I've decided that the first thing that absolutely must go is the saddle. My ass already hurts.

Any suggestions? I don't mind eBay or slightly used stuff. Color doesn't really matter, but the rest of the bike is completely black, so maybe a little hint of something would do it well ;)

Thanks!

Dan

Go to the LBS. Each bottom is different. Window shopping isn't really a good way to go when it comes to saddles. I learned this the hard way.

Are you sure it's not your ass that's the problem? I'd give it a little while. You'll also be better able to figure out what it is that you don't like about the saddle and thus have a better idea of what to buy.

Ride your saddle for a little longer so you know absolutely for sure where the painful spots are. Next go to an LBS that can measure your ass. Tell them what saddle you have and compare with their measurements. Then you will have a really good idea at what saddle options you have that it.

That's exactly what I said to my GF when I was getting her into anal...

Don't forget, it's not just your bottom that needs to be comfortable. There are more precious parts of the body you want to keep in shape.

I have a Charge Spoon and I love it. Haven't had any kind of saddle pains since I started riding on it. And it's really affordable.

I bought a Steamroller last summer and the first thing I replaced was the saddle. That thing hurt so bad. I bought a Brooks B17 and it's great. I would recommend it to anyone. The only problem is that they take more care than a normal saddle. It's worth it though.
