?making a track bike more fixed-like?
are there some simple ways to make a track bike a little bit more road savy?
|
tape and stickers
clinchers sawed off baseball bat zipped to the toptube |
That depends on how you define "road savy". Are you referring to geometry, ride quality, or components? Need more details.

I use a Cinelli track fork on my Cinelli road frame.

I find my track bike to be very road savy. My road bike however, is not very track savy. Strange, no?
A more detailed description of your situation may help give information more useful than the uselessness I just typed. |
Track bikes aint ment to go on roads man. Save it for the drome and ride free on the streets.

i'd rather ride fixed than free any day. i fall asleep on my road bike, and go too fast.

I would not want to ride a double century on it. But for short to medium runs around potholes, through traffick, pedestrians, rollerbladers, etc. a track bike can be great. |

It's a lot easier to cary up the stairs of my apartment, too. And I can bring it in at work and have something pretty to look at while I'm there... |
I ride a brakeless track bike on the street for a living, I wouldnt have it any other way
