Is this wheel worth a buy?

Hello.

I was looking to buy a new front wheel and a guy offered to sell me this;

Its a 650c deep velocity rim laced to a TNT titanium hub with DT swiss spokes.

***He also told me it was polished..... What does that mean? :o***

He wants $120 for it. (with tire and tube)

Do you think this is a good buy?

All depends on its condition. Those are decent components if they new and true.

Its not new, but in good condition.

And what does "polished" mean?

I'm not sure what he meant by polished. Sometimes when bearings get crunchy, they will take it apart and polish the bearing race and then repack new grease and bearings back into the hub assembly. Essentially making it ride like new again if it was worn down. Or he could have used some spray 409 and a roll of paper towels to shine up the wheels.

"Polished" can also often refer to a finish, in which case the metal is polished to bright silver. It's an old-school look that I think is a nice way to stand out from the pink Deep-V horde. I mean, come on, it's not 2007 anymore.

Example of polished wheels: This Bianchi (it was the first stock bike that came to mind).
