Tire questions

I just picked up a folding Gator skin today, I noticed that the side wall has an arrow pointing the rotating direction. I run flip flop and I actually use the freewheel side when I'm feeling really lazy, should I put it on the rear wheel? The tread pattern would be backwards if I flip it to the freewheel side; or should I just use it as a front tire?

Always put new tire up front and rotate the old front to the rear.

Yes, but I'm actually going to use a set of new tires though.

I guess a better question is that; is it a good idea to go flip it around if I am running a Gator skin on the back?

I'd probably flip the tire when I flip the wheel.

Does it rally matter since Gatorskins don't really have a tread anyway

The tires have a thread on the inside for rigidity. The tires will unwindle. Like car tires. Thats why they are there. Most tires have a cord that is universal but some tires like it hard :D

I hear that for treaded tires, you reverse the rear to make it bite into loose surfaces better.
I don't think it really matters which way the arrow is pointing for a rear tire.
