Do you want an '09 Madison? If it's your size, that's a decent price.

Assembly help....

just got a brand new 09 Madison - bike came in the box
but without detailed assembly instructions. Is there any way to
avoid trip and expense of LBS service? Headset looks tricky for
rookie like myself....Help!

In my opinion nothing beats riding a bike fully prep'd by a professional bicycle mechanic.... just like a professional race car...

Otherwise its youtube and google for you.

do NOT use a friggen screwdriver to tighten a lock ring... that doesn't work. And if you actually do get to, you've likely ruined your lockring. I just thought I would answer that before the question was thrown out there.

You seriously could do it your self. There are tons of youtube videos of bike assemblies online. Tighten every bolt down and lube and grease all the metal on metal areas. You should be all set man.

This BTW is my 100th post....yaaaaay...

Its getting harder and harder to find them these days. Don't get me wrong, lots of people claim to be, but in the end they're not.

headset was trickiest part for me. I called schwinn and they did not have a manual. I called the headset manufacturer and the guy talked me through it. I can send pics of mine later today if you still need help.

If anyone is interested, there is a shop here in Colorado Springs with 3-4 blue Madisons and 1 black and yellow Madison. If you want I can get you contact info for the shop and sizes of the bikes.

Even though it's a little small for me, if I had the extra cash to throw at this right now I'd be in my car headed to NYC.

Thoughts on the newest color scheme/graphics?

Anyone seen one live, or own one? Personally I think they should've kept going with the 80's layout ('07, '10) but to each their own I guess.
