It makes a little sense due to the crappy line of bikes for sale at WalMart and such but it's really funny how many people are so turned off by Schwinn. A dude riding a crappy, beat up Motobecane conversion came into the shop today and we got to talking for a few. When he saw my bike, he said "Oh man...that would be such a nice bike if it wasn't a Schwinn". I said "So it's not a nice bike because it's a Schwinn Madison?" and he brainlessly replied "It's a Schwinn."

I turned up the radio and proceeded to ignore him until he left.

Also just wondering if anyone has ever seen a Madison with fenders on; since it has the holes to mount.

The LBS Schwinns are really decent and really stay true to the company's philosophy of delivering bikes that spec'ed more than the competition at the same price. I think Ignaz Schwinn would like how all it turned out even if the company never stayed with the family.

My girlfriend says the person on the yellow Madison above is a female. Look at those boobs.

yeah....the person on that madison is DEFINITELY not a chick.

A. you can tell by his muscle composition

B. when you unzip your jersey, it blows open like that

C. when have you ever seen an ironwomen w/ boobs that big???
