Building a new fixed gear
I'm buying a gold Pake track frame with gold Pake fork to build my 2nd fixed gear.
https://www.ride-this.com/index.php/p...ource=googleps
all I can think of is black wheels with black everything else...
I'm here to get some ideas on wheels and color schemes that will go along with it....

I'm eyeing one of those those new Pake framesets for a townie/cruiser build. I rode one of the old school 1" frames, and I enjoyed the ride. Straight gauge tubing isn't going to win any weight contests, but sometimes it just isn't that big of a deal.
I Googled "gold pake" and found a few (black seems to be a theme in the builds):
This looks sort of like what you're thinking. The silver bars, stem and post look better than I would have expected with the black wheels and saddle, although this bike screams "I need black tape!" to me. Not crazy about the fork, but I'm not sure if any of the matching gold forks are still available. This is bland, but gives you an idea.
I think the color scheme works better on this one - gold frame/fork, black components with thoughtful silver pieces. I would love to see a front wheel that matches the rear though. I am not a trispoke fan, though others are. I think a matching wheelset and this bike would work well.
Whatever you do, please don't do this.
I think black and gold built up similar to the second bike (minus the tri-spoke) would look great, although I also think going with polished silver cranks, wheels, stem, and post with black tape, saddle, and tires could be a really nice "old school" look. Actually, I would do white bar tape and a road racy skinny white saddle with that build, but I don't have very good taste. This could also work with black rims now that I think about it. I think subtler rims would be better if they're polished - Aeroheads if you want aero, PBPs if you really want to ooze old-school style.

I agree with you on the second bike minus the tri spoke. I was thinking about doing the mixed metal look, but I can tell If i'll like it....
Is $300 a good price for this frame fork and headset?
