i have a size54 frame and im 5'9

my main question is finding a good bracket to fit in my frame and the 8inch crankset

Your cog is slipping.
Here I am! Apologies, as I was sleeping. I do that occasionally.
I love my EighthInch chainring, cog & lockring and for the money, I don't think they can be beat. I just picked up a full crankset for a bike my wife is building and I'm impressed by the overall quality. I say go for it. 165s all day long.
That UN54 BB won't last forever but will be fine. Get a 107mm.
Hope that helps!

I think this is same as Eighth Inch's cogs
https://www.benscycle.net/index.php?m...roducts_id=356
And you can't go wrong with Shimano!
