What frame is this model?
Anyone know what frame model is the orange khs? I want to buy it or something similar, I know it's similar to the kilo tt but I like how it has a smoother fork(more aerodynamic looking)http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/6898/dsc06957y.jpg

it's probably not the original fork... even so, you can find those types of forks all over... they were pretty much the standard on road bikes in the 80/90's
|
If i'd get a fork like that what size should I be looking for? it just depends on my tubes diameter and thats it?
|
that plus how much steerer there is above the crown. Best thing to do is measure the length of the steerer you have on your bike now and get a fork with the same size steerer. You may be able to cut the steerer down depending on what type of headset you have, I'm not 100% on that. I think you'll have zero problems as long as you get the diameter and steerer length correct. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong tho.

Ah thanks, is there also a standard track bike height for the fork too? or should I just measure the bottom of it to the bottom of the where the tube starts
|
there are two measurements you need. one is the steertube diameter, which is either 1" or 1 1/8"
then if you want a threaded setup like the one pictured, you need the length of the steertube, which is roughly the length of the headtube on your frame (where the fork goes through) plus the stack height of your headset. this is *usually* the length of the headtube plus about 1" to 1 1/2" |
Thanks

Is a motobecane track frame the same quality as a mercier kilo tt? they sure look identical
|
the kilo is lighter than a motobecane track, with slightly more aggressive geometry.

Woaw, screw the fork. What kind of handlebars are those??
|
Wish there were places in canada that sell the kilo tt, i'll have to somehow order from bikesdirect then go pick it up and pay loads of taxes
|
What kind of phone does that dude have??!!?

Alternatively the KHS Flite which is sold in a lot of places is the same frame as a Kilo TT. Tends to be a bit overpriced as most bikes around here though. You can get a Masi for cheaper. |
