+1 for GR-9s
my only beef is they need to be a little bigger, or my feet need to be smaller. They are super easy to get into, even after riding only clipless for a long time. +100 for clipless |
I got the sylvans when I was upgrading my pedals and I hated them. I'm a size 13 so my feet were way to big for them. The problem with hotfoot is apparent after only a mile. I couldn't skid with them at all.
I ended up going clipless and never put them back on except for when I was learning to trackstand. |
+1 on the GR-9's!! I have them on 2 bikes and for clips and straps, they are my favorite.

Sylvan Lites seem to be a little bigger than GR-9s. Is this true?

Only slightly. Rear cages dig into your sneakers. It's awesome for clip cleats as, the rear cage automatically dig into your clip-cleats as you slip on. It's prolly designed that way. Very clever. But contact surface is very small because the region near axle is receded. Probably designed that way assuming I would be wearing cleats for it. :(
