brooks Saddle help
Hey Im looking to buy a brooks saddle and the closest shop to me that sells brooks is about 5 and half hours away. So I thought I would search the net. So far the best prices I have found are at chainreactioncycles.com even with the shipping its cheaper than US websites as far as I have found.
Does anybody know of any websites with better prices?
and also Im looking at buying the brooks swift for my fixie. Has anyone used the swift? Hows it ride?

i bought a brooks swift for about 150$ american on a recent trip to london at condor cycles (cool shop). coming from an old worn out selle italia flite. i love the brooks! took about two weeks to break in, riding about 13 miles a day. first day i got it, i treated it with brooks saddle dressing. at first it was pretty hard, but i got used to it. now that it's broken in, it feels amazing. i ride with about 4 inches of saddle to bar drop; i think the swift is good for a more aggressive riding position. when you get your brooks, play with the saddle position as it makes a huge difference.

My outstanding LBS, The Hub Bike Coop in Minneapolis carries them. Not big discounts, but a great bike shop. (One of Brooks' premier dealers, fyi.)

Support your LBS, if you can!
Anyway, I'm thinking about getting one, too... either a Swallow or a Swift. I need to figure out how to test one out, though! It's a big commitment, these expensive saddles.

Tiiger, just get one. You won't regret it.
Also, to the OP: I bought one of my Brooks saddles from these guys universal cycles They've got a sweet deal on the titanium railed swift right now. And they regular priced one isn't a bad buy either for that price, seems to be about average. They also have the swallow at so ridiculously cheap I wish I could buy one. Alas, restraint kicked in when I realized that 3 Brooks saddles, and only 1 bike, didn't make too much sense.

I've been thinking about getting a brooks saddle for some time now but i'm afraid to get it only to find out it isn't a good fit for me.
