Wheelset Recommendations?

Hi everyone

I am pretty new to fixed gears, still and this summer I was planning to build a fixed from a frame that my cousin passed down to me. (A fairly old Bianchi Pista)

Really, my main concern is what wheelset to get. I would say that my price range is 250 tops. It's a the green Bianchi and I was thinking of trying to get a dark green wheelset for them.
I'm from Davis and basically will use it for getting to and from school and as a main method of transportation. I was looking into Weinmman and Velocity, since I don't know of any other colored wheelset. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about Weinmman. I just want these wheelset to really last. I want quality that will last.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Eigthinch amelia's. I've had them for about six months and I'm pretty satisfied. Only $100 free shipping and they come with tubes and tires.

However, if you want something stronger, the Eigthinch julians are $200 and i've heard they're bombproof.

get colored wheels if you want something that will look trendy for a few months or a year. I you want wheels that are serious quality and will make riding more pleasurable than get these

I've got Black B43 which run between 210$ - 245$. They are extremely heavy, but very, very strong.

Velocity Deep V's are popular, come in lots of colors, are reliable, and not too expensive.

I'll give my thumbs up to BWW. Recently, I ordered a set of Open Pros laced with DT Comps 1.8/1.6 spokes to replace an old, abused pair of Aeroheads. The wheels were perfectly true and pretty inexpensive.

How do the Velocities compare to Mavic? I am tempted to get the Mavic just because of the price difference (100-150), but I have only heard of partial mixed reviews. Is it a big difference in quality?

BTW, thanks for the replies, guys.
