I had a pair of the road version of the Olympic pedals way back in the 1970s. The were low cost look-alikes for the Campy Record Strada and Pista pedals, but totally inferior quality. The bearings on mine literally crumbled and pulverized due to terrible metallurgy. I replaced the bearings, but they never were smooth. If you'd like I can move this thread to C&V, where you may get more definitive information.
