Those are some pretty crappy looking loose bearing hubs...this wheelset would probably be the same quality as the stock ones.
I'm young and curious too but I'm sensible when it comes to spending money.

All haters, and people who live in cities where they have tons of independent businesses to ruin aside, I own one..well sort of, I got it for 100 bucks and it was to big for me. I wanted it so I could can parts from it for a conversion to take to school so I wouldn't have to worry about my nice bike getting stolen. The frame wasn't bad...metal shavings in the bottom bracket, and wheels (lol.) The components are less than stellar but just as good, if not better than a se draft

if i see one at walmart, i might actualy buy one. and use it. i doubt it's going to catastrophically fail and i won't be too broken up if it gets stolen or abused.

Go the wallmart or dumpster frame. and fix the cheapo up.
Or you can dump the rest of that beer sex and rent money onto a $300000000 Ferraripizzaconglomanapasta frame and then what... lol.

its tuff out there econmoically. Or Find a dumpster frame and bling that cat up fresh my friend.

That sounds suspiciously like the kind of mindset that would put $2000 worth of upgrades on an $800 piece of $h!t car . . .

Mm, blingin'.

Anyway, ultimate verdict: don't buy the bike. See relevant thread by a very temporary owner of the Walmart fixie.

End of discussion. :D
