Ha! My bikes on the trainer right now, and the pedals are some SPDs stolen off my BMX bike, which probably weigh as much as your whole bike.

I'll have to take a current photo, as this was before I made a couple of changes. The full specs are here, and I've added the following:

Ritchey Pro bars in 44cm
Thomson Elite 120mm stem
Campy brakeset
Replaced the FSA Orbit with another FSA Orbit that doesn't have the large tapered cap.
Carbon fiber headset spacers
Some Wellgo pedals

As soon as I finalize my saddle and post choices, I'll cut down the steerer. But I'll post some photos of the before and after. Stock weight was 18.4, and I think it won't be far from that once I'm done.

both great bike! can you two edit your posts with a full component list for people doing future research/comparison?

i may get my bike to my dads, he has an areospoke, a set of spinergys, a set of shamals, eurus, some rolfs, a set with cxp33/record... i figure i could get a baseline for people looking at different options...

i dont want this to be a contest, i want it to be a source of information for people planning a build. it may give people real world estimates or reference points

Thanks! I've tried both and unfortunately, I've got a pretty messed up back as a result of a car crash I got in about 13 years ago and find them to be painful on longer rides. Because of the tighter geo, risers put me in a way more comfortable position on this particular bike.

Frame: 1986 Centurion Ironman
Headset: Shimano 600
Cranks: Shimano 600 with original 53t chainring and new Shimano bottom bracket
Pedals: Campagnolo Record with MKS clips and Soma straps
Rear Wheel: IRO low-flange hub laced 4X to an old Mavic Rim (MA-2, possibly), Schwalber Duran 25c
Front Wheel: Shimano 600 hub laced 3x to the matching Mavic rim, Continental Ultra-Sport 23c
Cog/Lockring: Unknown CNC'd 3/32 19t/Formula
Seatpost: Kalloy (27.0 posts aren't super easy to come by)
Saddle: Specialized Toupe Gel 143
Stem: Nitto
Bars: Origin-8 bullhorns with some random bar tape and Ourys
Brake Lever: Cane Creek time trial lever
Brake Caliper: Shimano 600
Chain: KMC 610HX 3/32"
Fenders: Planet Bike Clip-ons

I would hazard a guess that the whole thing weighs in at about 21lbs right now. I have no way of verifying this at all. It's certainly lighter now than it is with my Velocity/Miche wheelset, but I don't think those fenders and that seatpost are doing me any favors. I'll post other pics when I change it over to a singlespeed with drops and two brakes.
