Noob: Question about Drivetrain.

New question

What is a good Drivetrain Set that is not too expensive?

My friend suggested the Sugino Messenger.

Any other suggestions? Im willing to spend around the same amount of a Sugino Messenger

The crankset usually determines the length of the BB spindle, not the frame. Are you basing what your frame needs on what was previously in it?

The Sugino Messenger cranks are JIS taper and the Miche Primato bottom bracket is ISO taper so you cannot mix the two. Just get the Miche crank and bottom bracket set up and be done with it. And ignore people who say that the bottom bracket will loosen or slip - either they didn't install it properly or their mechanic didn't.

Thanks for the help veganwar.

I was basing it on the suggestion of the guy who I bought the frame from.

I didn't buy the Bottom Bracket yet

Would you recommend the Miche Set or the Sugino Set?
