Painting bike frame...

i know these questions have been asked NUMEROUS times but no body ever asked whats the ABSO. cheapest way to paint my bike frame,its a cr-mo dawes sst frame,i just want to know whats the cheapest way to sand,prime,paint and whats the EXACT things i need? ive never done this before and done mind a DIY paint job because im looking on the cheap,let me know please....

Goin' from blue to black.

anyone used dupli engine enamel?

sand it, pour some salt water on it. let it rust. clearcoat it.

I think that for an accurate answer to your question you have to jump ahead to the finish. How crummy of a result are you willing to tolerate? The lower your expectations the cheaper the process.

the cheapest way would be the cost of a can of paint stripper, a can of primer, and a can of spray paint. you can be even cheaper if you skip the strip and prime and just paint over the existing paint.
