The last picture was highly unnecessary...

Philasteve 06-08-10 04:05 PM

Its all in good fun.

Scrodzilla 06-08-10 04:08 PM

I missed it!

That sucks about getting sprayed by a skunk. Happened to me once when I was living down in North Carolina. It literally made me vomit uncontrollably.

mustachiod 06-08-10 04:10 PM

how do you like it?

Philasteve 06-08-10 04:13 PM

No it's not. You have mail.

mustachiod 06-08-10 04:17 PM

yeah, i meant the bike.

I saw one and have been thinking about it alot. I keep looking for $600 laying on the ground. i'm checking out other SS bikes in the $400 range, but keep getting drawn back to the Madison.

Philasteve 06-08-10 04:20 PM

I was gonna get the kilo or pista or madison im glad i chose the madison.

Scrodzilla 06-08-10 04:23 PM

mustachoid - keep looking for used ones. I got lucky and snagged my 2008 frameset for under 200 bucks on eBay.

Philasteve 06-08-10 04:54 PM

Yeah i bought my 09 online and got it put together at a shop costed me around $475 all together....I think.

Philasteve 06-08-10 05:04 PM

Oh yeah scrod i got a question can you point me in the direction of some cheap straps like 30 40 dollars that are compadible with the stock pedals? Or are they all compadible.?

TheBikeRollsOn 06-08-10 06:04 PM

Tejano laying down the law.

I didn't see the original comment/image but any form of homophobia shouldn't be acceptable at all.

Scrodzilla 06-08-10 06:09 PM

I'm not sure what the stock pedals are. Do you have clips? I'm assuming just about any strap will be fine. Check eBay. I know Bell's Bike Shop sells decent leather straps for around 10 bucks. Sometimes they do good clip/strap combos as well.

TBRO - +1

coma061 06-08-10 06:22 PM

Right you are, I picked up a pair of black single strap clips (with straps included) for something like $13 from Bell's eBay store.

You can pick up leather Christophe straps (just about any normal color) at "The Bicycle Stable" on Frankford Ave (Philly) for $10.00, they will fit the factory plastic toe clips. You'll find the addy on thier site.

You know what gets rid of skunk smell with a single bath/wash?

Tomato juice.

No joke. Do it. Take a bath, with your bike, in a tub of tomato juice. Also post pictures.

Philasteve 06-09-10 02:00 AM

lol kk, ill do it just for you one tomatoe bath coming up definately need to do it to the tires they got it the worst.

f50fan 06-09-10 02:21 AM

do you really have to have a FULL tomato bath or can you just wipe yourself down with it?

honest random question, as a full bath would certainly be a very large quantity of tomato soup.

Squirrelli 06-09-10 02:23 AM

Quadruple post FTW.
