i saw the code for it when i hit reply and then pasted it in a browser. still don't know what it is though. definitely not a thingamabob, for sure.

it's a knog frog. it's a ****ty little 1-LED light that hipsters use to be able to say "i'm safe, i have a light" while still not actually being able to see anything.

knog frog aka. hipster cyst (bsnyc)

plisska 06-09-10 03:57 PM

You're right! i looked up a knog and thats it. I kept trying to search for a mini tube patch kit or something. That is what i thought it was. A mini patch kit in a casing like that would be cool.

cc700 06-09-10 04:06 PM

you could VERY easily modify one to carry a glueless patch, as long as the patch is the size of a 2032 battery.

however, knog is a really cool company with awesome designs and the knog BOOMER is DEFINITELY going to be my next non-component/metal attachment bike purchase.

i need a streamliner road DLX for my road bike first.

I put one on my rear hub, not sure how it looks in action.

Did you do this as you were building the wheel up? I can't imagine myself reaching through the spokes to get that thing on there. I can't even reach in to clean my hub. :(

I've seen lots of people do that and it you dont really see it

cc700 06-09-10 07:40 PM

it's super easy to put it on a hub, unless you are running 84 spoke wheels or something.

ichitz 06-10-10 09:35 AM

if i'm to put any rotating lights it will definitely be this

Uhhhh I believe its to BE seen... and not, in any way, to SEE... sooo uhhh... yeah... actually a fairly nice product at a reasonable price.

u are right. But the single LED doesn't really do the "being seen" factor too well either
