The Kashimax Aero
Does anybody know anything about this saddle? Padded version
I intend to use it with a bib or skinsuit on my track bike, and maybe with the road bike too. The ones I have are the traditional shape, and they are death to my balls. Here is one: http://bontrager.com/model/07135 And the other: http://2009.feltracing.com/08/image.asp?pid=8716 It's not the angle or the height...I've tried all that already. I tried a San Marco Concor and it was "very niiiice," but I want to see reviews on the Kashimax too. |
It is a track saddle so dont expect comfort after 5 minutes.

Just cut off your ballz
the kashimax is pretty hard so i hear, but you don't want cushion on the track. |

I used the plastic version exclusively when I raced BMX back in the 80s. I recall them being pretty awesome. The leather ones available now look pretty ****ing sweet. |
Saw those plastic kashimaxs at Chari & Co... Pretty tempting. :D:D

Your jewels getting compacted by a saddle probably means your position isn't right. You shouldn't be riding on groin anyways. Seat height, seat angle, seat position, ... bar height, stem length, ... or you might even have wrong frame size.
I heard Kashimax can run 30mm rails, but there are 44mm ones, too. Looks really nice for spinning. But the padded ones cost a good amount. For that, I would get a Rolls saddle, but it could only mean I am a wide-load. :p |
Have used kashimax aeros in the street....briefly. Ha!
Surprisingly comfortable for a plastic saddle..has lots of flex. There is also no(or very little) fore or aft positioning of the saddle, theres just that one center spot. But yea perfect for the velodrome! |
