IRO Mark V stock components?

http://www.irocycle.com/markvsingles...heelset-1.aspx

Saw that bike, thought it to be a pretty good deal. Is the $100 difference from the Kilo TT justifiable for the difference in quality? I was thinking about getting the fixed version of the Mark V, but being that I already have a cog/lockring lying around I thought it would be more economic to get the single speed, since it already comes with brakes and a freewheel, and I could just throw on the cog myself later.

How are the stock components on it? Are the pedals ride-able and provide enough holding to skid? Which stem is better, the 110mm or the 100mm?

Overall, is the bike worth the $450?

Theres no such thing as a stem with 10mm difference being better then the other, its depending on how long your torso is whatever one fits better. I would say the mark v has better stock componets than the kilo though.I'm not sure if its the same between the mark v and kilo tt pro though.

I am pretty sure the IRO bikes don't come with pedals. However, we have had 2 IRO bikes here, and have been impressed with the stock components.

EDIT - It DOES come with pedals!!

Oh it doesn't come with any pedals at all?

Get the IRO. $399 is a steal for the MUCH better wheelset (iro wheels are real nice, kilo not so much), and better quality chro-mo. The only thing the mercier has on the iro is a more trackish geometry, instead of being more relaxed and road like, whic may be a big factor for you.

Whoops, missed that on the website. What about the single speed for the extra $50? Worth it for the brakes and freewheel? Already got a cog lying around..

For the breaks definately if your riding fixed.
