swrve sizing - tops
Swrve doesn't have a tops sizing chart, only pants - and their mailbox is full. Their 34" jeans fit better than anything I've ever had and their sizing seemed "correct" for American sizing unlike most cycling clothes where I am some sort of genetic freak in Italy.
So, if you have bought a hoodie from them was it close to the the American Apparel standard where a 44cm chest is a large? Yes, I know they cut their clothes trim fit and that's what I'm after. I usually wear a L or XL t-shirt and just want to see if there is any insight from you guys. |
No bites?

cycling sizing is tricky.

my softshell swrve knickers fit better than almost any other pant i've worn. i think it's just their tailoring/cut. i have no clue about their tops, but i'd assume you could return it if you're not buying an 'oops' shirt.

I read this with a tailor's yard in hard.
Castelli, swrve you name it and it's all over the map for a guy who isn't hipster skinny or an Ivan Drago wannabe. cc700, considering the fit for swrve seems very traditional North American I think an XL is safe for me but I've dropped enough to take the gamble on an L. Crap. |
seriously, i am pretty sure they have a good return policy if it doesn't fit. not that you want to wait the extra week or whatever for shipping but I think you should be safe with a large. american apparel standards seem to apply to most US brands like this. you know, ones that aren't stocked at Marshall's.

Yeah, I shouldn't have any problems returning it from Canada.

Placed to order about 10 minutes ago. I called, got the machine. Their mailbox is bouncing as full. Vacation perhaps. Paypal wasn't working at the time either, it spat me out saying there was a problem with the merchant shipping address. Visa worked.
That being said I went with an XL hiding hoodie. If it fits big then I'll keep it for something to put a layer or two underneath for the inevitable Canadian winter. My chest is a full breath 44. I might pull off an L later in the season and into late fall. Having two colours and two "fits" won't be such a bad thing if the sizing is a bit generous. I want the regular Milwakuee in Schoeller and want to make sure the sizing is dead on too. I'm sure the hoodie will tell me what size to nab. I'm about 7 feet tall in length (short legs) so I'm covered there thankfully. Thanks everyone for the input. |
