Maddy owners..question

My buddy bought an 08 madison and was wondering about the quality of the factory cog and lockring. To all the Maddy owners would you keep the factory parts or upgrade?

Thanx everyone

Personal choice I would say, I upgraded many parts on my Maddy, but the orig parts are not to bad to dick around on, in other words use it till it breaks, then replace what ever it is thats broke, less you have cash like that.

Keep the factory cog but swap out that lockring anyhow for a dura ace lockring and you won't be sorry :thumb:

I've been using the stock and cog now for a little over a month i've been skidding a lot and no problems at all.

I've kept mine on the fixed side w/ the original cog & lockring since I got it 14 months ago, no problems ( I don't skid, but I do weigh 225#s)
Obligitory photo time!

Yup. I had to replace the bars and tires on my vintage Madison and my rule is one you get it set up the way you like it, what's there to change?

You should set the picture on fire.
