farting on a fixie
Sorry if this has been discussed. It's much more difficult to relax the rectum to rip ass on a fixed gear. Do you notice that?
And thinking about how we used to piss while rolling on big downhills or while a teammate pushed... forget about it. Otherwise, I am liking the fixie after 45 days. |
Ah...

Yes of course.....

Nevermind. I don't give a flying squirrel's ass (very close relation to a rat) to your fecal/pee pee/schlong incoherent hangup.
|
I hear you.

Look, hours in the saddle can build up gas, you have to stand and relax to relieve it.
Oh, I get it, you don't fart. |
I think this thread deserves to be taken seriously. I know I have a hard time letting one rip on a ride. I'm afraid that someday I'll gamble and lose.

Let me ask this - can anyone stand and spin and relax the required muscles? I'm sure it's possible, I'm just not that good yet. The instinct to relax and let the pressure go has almost thrown me more than once. |
Maybe you shouldn't stand.

I Lol'd the instant I saw this listed....
I heard getting some aggressive angle helps start the flow of gas; try a nitto b123 with jaguar stem or a flipped 120mm 15 degree... it also helps with disbursement. |
Pissing on yourself? Do you do Tris?
|
Farting fixed is no problem. Timing helps. Do it enough and and your saddle adapts to your environment. My Brooks smells like a proctologist's office.
|
no problems here either. just relax and let loose, but sometimes you gotta relax for a few extra seconds

I like sitting up a little. That way, if I let a few cubic meters go it explodes out through both a leg band and the waist/crack area at the same time. Niiice.
|
This is the entire reason I learned how to skid. It's so much easier to fart when you're not mashing constantly.
|
LOLOLOL @ this thread
|
I have no change in my system since I swapped. Kinda liberating to fart during rides. ...

OMG! I WAS TRYING TO IGNORE THIS THREAD SO INSTEAD OF PARTICIPATING FURTHER I WAS DIVERTING MY MIND AND STUDYING THE EVOLUTIONARY ASPECTS TO FLYING SQUIRRELS WHEN I DISCOVERED THROUGH SCHOLASTIC JOURNALS THAT THE ORIGINAL ADAPTIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FLYING SQUIRREL IS A RESULT OF "SPONTANEOUS RODENT GASTRONOMICAL DISCHARGE" I.E. FARTING! NOT ONLY ARE FLYING SQUIRRELS CONSIDERED A FRIEND TO SSFG BICYCLISTS THEY ARE BELIEVED TO BE THE FIRST JET PROPULSION MAMMAL. LOOKING CLOSELY AT THE ABOVE PHOTO SCIENTISTS POINT OUT THAT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE BICYCLE FRIENDLY RODENT HAD JUST DISCHARGED LARGE VOLUMES OF GAS RESULTING IN RECTAL REVERBERATION ALONG WITH FLIGHT! UNUS APPARATUS, UNUS DILIGO (ONE GEAR, ONE LOVE) THANKS MYSTIC RATS |
lol. I gots to try this one day
|
Some good ideas here. Thanks.

I noticed that there is a 50 Plus subforum. I wonder if they talk about wearing a "depends" while riding? Then it makes one think about tandem riding and the thought of riding "caboose" to a farting machine (plus accidental log discharge) pilot/steerer!
Oh my! |

I use B123's and have no problems letting one rip. I usually get in front of my friends, get on the drops and let it rip. Even through the wind, it's sometimes loud enough for them to hear |
