There's American Cyclery over by Haight. There are a bunch if you head over to the Mission District

edit: American is a few blocks south of Haight. It is on Frederick right by Golden Gate Park

If you are in San Jose and want NJS and the good parts check out IminusD, https://iminusd.com/. If you need quick cheap parts and good service try bicycle express, https://www.bicycleexpress.net/.

San Francisco, hella bike shops. just go up and down valencia. You have Box Dog, https://www.boxdogbikes.com/, freewheel, https://www.thefreewheel.com/, valencia, https://valenciacyclery.com/.

The Richmond District doesn't have that many good bike shops. Lots of good places to eat: great dim sum, amazing sushi at Kabuto, hella good Korean food, My Tofu House is probably the best place for tofu soup and a plate of kalbi. I find it funny that most of the replies didn't address the original question. The best bike shop for track/fixed will be Freewheel(either Valencia or Hayes). Plenty of average to good bike shops to be had all over SF districts, just a matter of where you'll be.

Good to no. Freewheel is actually right up my street. Im just off the great high way. So i'll be dropping a visit for some bullhorns or a saddle.

You know if they carry soma?

There is also Pedal Revolution on 21st street at South Van Ness. Cool non-profit with good stuff. I bought my bareknuckle there. They were really nice and chill there. Some of the other shops in the area have seemed kind of pretentious to me
