Bianchi "Limited"

I've got a really nice Bianchi Limited frame in 52cm free to whoever wants it, thats the good news, bad news is it seems to have been involved in a front end collision as the top and bottom tubes have crickles on them where they go into the lugs at the headtube, AND you have to pick it up in Philly. OK, heres a pic of the actual frame built up by the prior owner. Yes, this is a pic WITH the bent frame and he rode it for a good while with no problems. I think it'll make a sweet conversion.

Dude, you gotta make the free-ness more apparent in your thread title. I didn't click on this thread for awhile because I thought it was talking about a new frame that Bianchi is coming out with, which I wouldn't be interested in.

Also, not in Philly.

You can actually change the thread title yourself, but you have to use the "Go Advanced" mode when you edit the first post.

Also, the focus is clearly on Bananas, not Jesus.

If only I wasn't so damn tall.

Related news, I have a really ****ty 64cm Motobecane frame with a destroyed bottom bracket, a toasted chainring that is secured with ghetto-bolts, and a bent seatstay, if anyone is interested. It's rideable, but you might die.

Me and 3 of my buddies are riding down wildwood on the 26th and one of them never replaced there stolen bike yet, so this would be perfect for him to use.

I, for one, think that it's a very generous offer.

Unfortunately I doubt a frame builder is going to be grabbing this. Instead it'll be some inexperienced kid who's going to be riding around on a frame that could very well be unsafe. It's a nice offer and I realize you aren't trying to get anyone hurt or scam somebody because you're giving it away for free. Just make sure that whoever gets it knows that their is a risk of failure because the frame is in very very questionable condition.

Maybe, maybe not, if the guy wants to ride it why not? I would and I have, many many times in the past with no problems. I wouldn't ride a frame with a crack in it or wrinkled paint at the spot its bent but this one has none of that, and its not aluminium so chances of the frame failing are extremely low. The guy that rode it before I got it did so for a pretty long time, and all the bikes I've had that were bent I rode for many many years and I'm 200+! To be realistic about the whole thing lets ask this, how many times have you guys ever seen a steel frame fail due to a slight bend in the top and lower tubes? Now I'm not alking something you found on the interweb, actually saw it fail or experience such a failure yourself? TheBikeRollsOn, don't get me wrong, I see exactly what your saying but like I mentioned eilier I think this would be of concern on an aluminium frame but not so much steel frame considering the damage is not really to bad. If you scroll to the top to the orig post and have a look at the pic you'll see that it does'nt even look like the frame or even the fork are bent? (the fork is orig and not bent) before you answer know that the frame is indeed bent in that pic. ;0) and thats when the orig owner was riding it. The new owner does know its bent, and I will remind them again when the frame is picked up. =0)
