smaller bolt...??
Recently I switched from a bolt-on front wheel to a quick release front wheel. My old bolt-on wheel wouldn't fit into the carbon fork I bought. At first I really enjoyed the quick release, but now I'm really starting to hate it. I can't seem to get it tight enough and it keeps making this weird sound (like something is vibrating in it or it's hollow or something...?) every time it hits the ground or I pick up the bike when traveling. I loved my bolt-on, the quick-release just isn't doing it for me. Is there like a smaller axel (bolt-on, not quick release) or something that would fit into my fork? I don't know too much about wheels, please help!

There's a chance you have a bum QR. But from your post, I'm guessing
that you're not tightenibg it correctly. Find somebody to show you how to close the QR correctly, I'm sure a fellow BF'er or the local bike store will show you how. It's difficult for me to describe the proecedure: |
what was it about the old wheel did not fit?

Note : 9mm front axles is normal, rears tend to be 10mm..

apparently it's the wheel, I need a new one. AWESOME.
