Snub-nosing clips

I am in the process of recovering from a recent foot surgery. I'm back to being able to walk without assistance which means I can safely ride fixed again. But, my foot is still swollen and have to wear loose shoes that offer pretty good support despite being loose. For me, that means a pair of my trusty Keen's. Keens sort of have a bulbous front and toe clips tend to be narrow at the ends. Narrow equals pain right now so I went about opening up a set of clips in order to ride without pain. In the end, it was simple. I pulled the clips off the pedals, mushed them out flat (something of a chore since the metal is springy) and then used an aerosol can as a mold to bend the clips back into shape. It took a little grunting because of how springy the metal is but in the end I have a perfectly serviceable, wide toe set of clips.

THEJAPINO,

Yea, I've got a set of those. They were the first thing I tried. Stuffed my dog in - ouchy. Needed more.
