Pulling the trigger.. MURDER?

Here's what my bike looks like (except my bars are fully wrapped now)
I am pulling the trigger and buying some Mavic Open Pros from bicyclewheelwarehouse (my LBS can't get em for some reason)

I am wondering, should I:
a) get them in black with black spokes, switch out my silver x2 stem for a black x2 stem and get a black seatpost
b) get classy silver mavic open pros, and keep my silver black combo...

I feel like a little girl right now obsessing overt this but I cannot make up my mind.
Down the road, I am getting a pretty nice freelance check for some film work I did and was planning on buying a classic track frame and getting a silver quill stem but like I said, this is down the road (video doesn't come out for 6 months) but even then, my frame would be black.

One thing to consider is if you see yourself mounting a brake.
Murdered out looks dumb with a big shiny machined sidewall in there.

Don't Open Pros come with machined sidewalls regardless? Murdered out is cool sometimes but black/silver is classy. My vote is to stick with what you've got and get the silver Mavics.

I don't know about the open pros, but I run my black ano veepz with a brake and it works fine. It's just slightly streaked from use, but it's only noticeable from certain angles. Doesn't bother me at all.

Anyways if you're not even using a brake, then moot point is moot. Just putting it out there.

I agree with Scrod, but I like silver components.

However, you could get the Mavic Open Pro CD rims which have black machined sidewalls.

Murdered out all the way, especially if your going to build a classy bike in time anyway.

"murdered" out bikes are fun to look at but if I had one I imagine it would get old after not too long.. A more classic look is timeless.

Dammit I cannot decide. I mean, I am going to buy a Thomson seatpost soon and I would probably go with black. And I really do like silver stems but only when they're quill. I guess I just answered my own question.

MURDER. FTW.

I really do like silver/black lots of the time though. I think I just need to try something new out?
Also, will it be lame to have all black components with silver cranks? I LOVE my dura-ace cranks.\

PS. I wear all black, every single day. I can't help it. I started when I started listening to punk in 6th grade and now its all I feel comfortable in.

Maybe its fate to have my bike murdered out? Ha

If you wear all black and want to run a murdered out bike you must mount a crow to the handlebars.

I am stoked I can get black sidewalls but quick question:

Is there any difference in look/ride quality with machined vs. non-machined?
I know with machined you can run brakes but I've never had a brake and never plan on having one.. Machined will still be fine though, eh? If not, are the ceramics machined?

Thanks guys
