Phil never rode the tour.

"Doing nothing wrong" is not the same as "Doing the right thing".
Or, as Gerard Vroomen said: Contador just gained a great chance to win, but he lost the chance to win greatly. |

You guys don't really understand grand tour racing, I guess.
That's cool, it's not for everyone. |

but this is different. Schleck was in front of Contador when his chain failed. it would have been different if contador was in front. also i can understand stopping if he bumped him or somehow caused him to be delayed but it wasn't his fault. it was shlecks
That's fine. You're right that it wasn't Contador's fault, so I wouldn't have blamed Contador for continuing on. At the same pace he'd held for the last 18 km, where he hadn't attacked a single time. What I fault Contador for is changing his strategy and making a point of attacking as hard as possible after Schleck's mechanical. He doesn't have to be classy like Ulrich and put a foot down to wait for Lance, but sprinting up the mountain to gain as much time as possible from the dropped chain? Dirty. |

You guys don't think it has anything to do with being 39 or crashing fifty times?
No? Ok. |

Nah just someone who is capable of rational extrapolation, unlike most of the "OMG HE SI A DOEPR" kids.
If DudeX can come out of retirement at 38 years old and podium while positively not doping, it's pretty reasonable to assume that he'd be pretty damn good at 30 (while also not doping). Rational. |

Also, people hate on Lance for no reason. I am not embarrassed to say I'm a Lance fan boy. I find him inspiring and even personable for a pro athlete. Plus, he's from my hometown and lives in my current town... |

Who cares, anyway? A bunch of doped up hamsters being told via their team communication system how to screw over other teams and keep them from doing their best. Great bunch of folks professional road cyclists. That's why the TdF is nothing more than a boring freak show. No one cares. If you want to see chemistry in action then go to a science museum. Want to see childish behavior watch Romper Room. Want to see dishonest, malicious, low brow people justifying their behavior "because they have to" then go to work.
Contador. Win the war. Lose your soul. |
he doped back then too...just didn't get caught....
he's got too many eyes on him now... |
