Where Are you now -on your fixed-???
Everynight. I ride my rig. I ride as long as I can. Usually I start when the sun is going down until as late as possible.....
Ordinarily I stop at. Dunkin donuts. Get my Joe, and/or donuts, sit outside, read this forum, catch up on reading/news or study/work. Generally always by myself. Ends a day of stress the perfect way. I love to ride. I try to ride everywhere possible, but the Texas heat can be vicious. For you guys and/gals, if you've ridden somewhere at this moment. Where are you? Here I Am. At dunkin. Enjoying the wind and quiet. Reading..... |
Haven't ridden anywhere, but if you must know I'm on the pooper...
|
^No, that's not too much information at all.

I just keep my bikes indoors and take pictures of it. Who rides their bikes these days?

I don't usually get on the internet while I'm on rides (at least not until my iPhone4 comes in the mail soon).
I've gotten acclaimated to the TX heat pretty well this summer. I go on long rides in the middle of the day. At first it was rough, but now I just sort of sink my teeth into it and feel the sweat stinging me in the eyes. It feels good in a weird kinda way once you get over the fact that you're gonna be raining sweat. |
Tonight I rode to the bar because it was my roommate's birthday. Then, I raced his cab home.
I won but we decided that once you factor in shower time it's a draw. Edit: This is post #1234 |
Oh jesus....you're going to be another fixed gear rider with an iPhone.....poser.
Just kidding, I'm on a iPad right now with a iPhone stapled to my ass....that way it never falls out Of my pocket when I'm riding... Socks |
I just got home from a ride. Drove to work, rode to this mini tour around town checking out orgranic gardens, Then rode to the local bar/burger joint. Had a delicious burger and beer. Then Rode back to my car and drove home. Tomorrow I will drive to school, ride to the next city over, probably eat something, then get espresso at Comet Coffee, then probably hit on the girl who works at sam's (small clothing shop where i live), then ride back to my car, and then go pick up that peugeot frame.
Then on thursday and friday I am not sure. |
I usually ride around 6:30, to a park about 3 miles away, then back around another 2 miles just for daily exercise. It kind of sucks living in a city named Chino "HILLS." My scrawny legs cant make it up half the hills here...

I ride my bike to go grocery shopping and whatever shopping if it's within 3 miles one way.
On campus I like to ride through the cornfields and around the quad. I love the quad at night. Man, I wish my biking buddies lived in the area. I'd tots mcgoats be hitting up DD every night. |
I've been kinda doing the same. When the sun is going down, I ride. Sometimes just around town. Other times to the bar, or to a place for a bite.
I have been trying to ride everywhere I can since my new ride has been completed |
While I'm up at school, I ride almost exclusively. I'm not into the whole green, eco-friendly movement--just not my thing. However, living in a town that's flat as a pancake and only 10 miles wide or so, it's just more practical to bike everywhere.
I bike to escape from the stresses of daily life. When I'm in the saddle, I don't really care about anything except the ride. I often make up excuses to go on rides instead of doing homework or studying, but the exercise helps me focus when I get back. Basically, I love to ride just for the sake of riding. The fashion of it becomes irrelevant as long as I'm enjoying myself. |

Anyway, just got done buying some beer from my local liquor store (LLS?). But not PBR, not quite that much of a hipster I guess. Or am I since I deny being one?..... |

I've memorized the smells, sounds, cracks, bumps....so when there is a slight change I know exactly what to do.... It's great finding the perfect line. Socks |

I think the most fun I have during the week is I make the kids "run away from home" and I go find them. Our little version of hide and seek. Since I have 17 kids I use the fixed to find them. I almost always come home with as many as left.
|
I tend to find excuses to bike anywhere. I try to run errands on my bike if I can, but the heat has almost been over 100* here, so I have to wait until later at night to do any kind of riding :(

I'm at the library! So glad I just got my new bike (Motobecane Track). It's like 10 times nicer than my brother's Raleigh...
I commute on my bike, don't have a car. Just checking my emails and whatevaz for the hour I have on the internet here, then I'm off to cash my paycheck, stop at Bad Boyz to get my lockring tightened, and then I'll head over to the gym to talk to my manager at work. Then I'll probably find a place that'll cut my hair and then head home for a shower. Then I'll probably ride back to the gym to work out. Fisher's Landing is nice in that everything is within a few miles! I love riding my Track :D :D |
Rode to starbucks...damned suberbean housewives won't stop jabbering!
Why did I forget my earphones!!!??? Then riding to th bike shop to get a new chainring attached. Mmmmm....new chainring! |

I'm at work. I hate it here. But my ride to and from work is what gets me through the day.My work commute to work is 85 miles a week. If I'm not tired, I usually take the beach route before on my way home.
