I don't recall seeing any talk about these here on ol' BF. Am I late to the party on this one?

if they're 60 bucks, sure. but if they're expensive as hell, i'd rather have mission workshops that don't make me look like a skate poser ******bag.

Wonder how much foot movement you would get in those... after all, all that is needed for blisters is heat, friction, and moister

cc700, idk if you got the memo, but since about the mid-2000's, it's been ok for non-skateboarders to wear skate shoes. i think tony hawk said it was ok.
joking aside, those dont look terrible. construction-wise, they're purpose-built, so hopefully they'd hold up better than a home-brew set up. although 90 bones isn't great, style-wise, they're one of the closest things to normal street shoes ive ever seen (home-made versions aside...)
speaking of shoes nobodys yet discussed on BF, anyone know anything about these:
the $30 pricetag is concerningly low, and ive heard absolutely nothing about them, but $30 is almost low enough im willing to pay to find out...

Well, they're discounted from $65, and I've seen similar closeout deals at my lbs on discontinued models of name brand spd shoes.
Also, shoes are one item I won't buy online, only from a store where I can try them on.

Some of the BMX racers wear them. I looked at a pair when I was looking for clipless shoes for BMX racing. Ended up going with my tried and true Shimano M-182. If you want something more shoe looking, the Shimano DX is a sweet shoe - used to make them in black but hard to find now.

I'd rather walk a barefoot mile on a highway paved with crap than look down and see those on my feet.

Those things are SUPER DUPER light. 195 grams. That's less that 1/2 a pound. I've seen a few guys on TDF using them.

carleton - those shoes are so light, it's pretty ****ing ridiculous. When we got a shipment of them in at the shop where I work, I literally thought the boxes were empty.
